Nat and Matt here. This blog is about sharing our new adventure with food – the OMS way. Taking on a dairy-free pescatarian diet has certainly had its challenges, especially for people who used to think that flavour was largely about meat and dairy (as the Malcolm in the Middle saying went “Fat is the vehicle through which flavour travels”).
However, we’ve found that eating this way can be pretty damn good and we promise, your body really does stop craving meat and fatty/deep fried food.
Beyond the obvious, we also want to share how to eat this way with minimum fuss and minimum cost – hence the penny-pinching.
If you are interested in the health/nutrition of the food we eat, we suggest you head over to the Harvard School of Public Health’s Healthy Eating Plate to gain an understanding of the advantages associated with dairy and meat free eating.
